It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas… Because it is Christmas. And your present is one of the weirder new comics weeks in a long time as some publishers seem to be releasing books on December 25, and others on December 26. When should you head to your local store? Who is to say? Not I! Check with your store! Leave me alone!
And though many publishers have vacated the week, not Marvel! They’ve got Timeslide #1, the publisher’s yearly tease for what’s coming in the year ahead. Plus, Hellhunters #1 teams up the World War II Ghost Rider with Bucky, Wolverine, and Nick Fury. And Kidpool / Spider-Boy teams up the title characters.
DC Comics isn’t slowing down for the holidays either with an issue of Absolute Wonder Woman you should not miss (no spoilers). The wild Metamorpho: The Element Man #1 debuts from Al Ewing and Steve Lieber. And Superman #21 sends Lois and Clark on a date on the moon.
BOOM! Studios has a trade collection of I Heart Skull-Crusher, an all-ages death games book. Dark Horse has a collection of Dawnrunner, a massive kaiju battle book. And Hot Rod arrives in Image Comics’s Void Rivals #15.
