Don’t tell anyone, but Secret Six is back at DC Comics, with a new six-issue DC All In limited series, written by Nicole Maines with art by Stephen Segovia.
In the new book, Dreamer, Jon Kent and Jay Nakamura discover that Amanda Waller has somehow disappeared from the prison she’s been in since the end of Absolute Power. So they recruit Catman, Deadshot, and Black Alice to find Waller, before it’s too late.
“Getting to be part of DC All In and to tell a new story involving Jon Kent, Jay Nakamura, and Dreamer means the world to me,” said Maines via a press release provided to Comic Book Club. “They’re all at a crossroads right now, at the start of their potential villain origin stories, so having them team up with these Secret Six veterans, all former villains, feels like a mirror into their futures.”
As per usual with the title, there are secrets upon secrets. As Maines notes, our three “heroes” have been grappling with darker impulses of late. So per PR, they’ll have to “uncover their roles in a larger chess game, without letting their own individual secrets tear them apart from the inside.”
Added Segovia, “I’m really excited about working with Nicole on this series. Mixing heroes and villains on the same team is always fun, and I’m looking forward to showing fans the different personalities of the characters Nicole’s writing.”
The six issue series is available for preorder starting Friday, December 20, and hits stores on March 5, 2025.
