Amazing Spider-Man is going back to the start with a new Amazing Spider-Man #1 and a new creative team this April. Taking the reins of the storied title are Joe Kelly, Pepe Larraz, and John Romita Jr.
Per Marvel, the “new” title will continue directly off of Peter Parker’s current adventures, which includes a “redeemed” Norman Osborn, and his girlfriend Shay, among others. But don’t worry, Peter is still the shiftless loser we’ve loved for decades, too, without a job and getting attacked by the Rhino (as seen on screen in the hit movie Kraven the Hunter).
Per PR from the publisher, “What major Spider-Villain is working behind the scenes weaponizing other Spider-Villains including one we haven’t seen in OVER SEVEN YEARS?! Also, what is that Goblin-free Norman Osborn up to these days?”
Amazing Spider-Man #1 will hit stores on April 9, 2025, with colors by Marte Gracia and a wraparound cover by Larraz. There’s no word on whether Shay will get more character traits in the upcoming run other than “very patient” and “is a nurse.”
