X-Manhunt Crossover Sends Professor X On the Run:
Move over, Raid on Graymalkin, with your paltry four-part crossover event. In March of 2025, Marvel will launch an eight-part crossover titled X-Manhunt, which will send Professor X on the run through all the ongoing X-Men titles, with all eight parts debuting in March.
After the end of the Krakoa era, Professor X was sent to Graymalkin Prison, where he’s being held for crimes against humanity. But now, “driven by a mysterious new purpose,” Xavier breaks out of prison, a telepathic virus ravaging his mind, and goes on the lam, hoofing it across America while the coppers are hot on his heels.
Over the course of the crossover, Xavier will check in with his former students, with some ready to forgive him for his actions during the war with Orchis — some not so much.
The crossover will run through issues of Uncanny X-Men, NYX, Storm, X-Men, X-Factor, and X-Force, with the whole thing ending in X-Manhunt Omega. There will also be a “collateral damage” tie-in issue of Exceptional X-Men.
The X-Manhunt begins on March 5, 2025.
ThunderCats: Lost Drops The Team Behind Enemy Lines:
ThunderCats are usually on the loose, but now they’re on the… Lost? Or they will be in ThunderCats: Lost, a new series from Dynamite coming in March.
Written by Ed Brisson with art by Rapha Lobosco, the team behind the ThunderCats: Apex one-shot, per PR, “After being shot down in the middle of a war zone, five Thunderian warriors find themselves lost, on the run, and fighting for their lives. Trapped behind enemy lines and being hunted by a powerful enemy, the ThunderCats: Lost team invites fans into a wholly new outlook on the franchise.”
The “cast” of the new series includes Bengali, Pumyra, and Lynx-O, all from the later seasons of the ThunderCats animated series… Though Dynamite notes they’ll have different origins, thanks to the rebooted continuity of the comics. Meanwhile, they’ll be joined by two new characters: Neko, and Ligon.
ThunderCats: Lost hits stores in March, 2025.
Arcana Royale Plays High Stakes Supernatural Poker:
Poker can be a dangerous game. But what if it went supernatural? That’s (sort of) the concept behind Arcana Royale, a new four-issue series coming next Spring from Dark Horse Comics.
Written by Cullen Bunn with art by A.C. Zamudio, the thriller focuses on a “streetwise gambler,” per PR, who is invited to play in an underground card tournament called the Arcanos Mysterinos.
In the “clandestine poker tournament,” instead of a regular deck of cards they use a deck of tarot-like cards. The competitors are “magicians, demons, and demigods.” And the stakes? The fate of all humanity.
Arcana Royale #1 hits stores on April 23, 2025.
