Doctor Strange Heads To Asgard:
With Doctor Strange no longer Sorcerer Supreme of the Marvel Universe, what’s next for the Bleecker Street resident? Asgard, baby! And that’s exactly where he’ll head in March’s new series Doctor Strange of Asgard.
In the new ongoing Marvel series written by Derek Landy with art by Carlos Magno, Strange leaves Earth to try and become the first-ever Sorcerer Supreme of Asgard. But, per PR provided to Comic Book Club, “Asgardian magic is more ancient and guarded than Midgard’s, and Strange’s bold attempts to master it will ignite a deadly power struggle between the sorcerers of the Golden Realm—including Loki. Join Strange as he races to solve a mystery that could disrupt the balance of magic forever, avoiding Thor’s thunderous wrath and uncovering long-hidden secrets of Asgardian myth along the way!”
Doctor Strange of Asgard #1 hits stores on March 5, 2025.
Spider-Man Becomes The Juggernaut In Amazing Spider-Man:
In March 2025, Marvel is releasing the concluding chapters of the currently running “8 Deaths of Spider-Man.” And because why naut, Spider-man will turn into the Juggernaut in the closing issues.
Written by Joe Kelly with art by Ed McGuinness, Amazing Spider-Man #69 and #70 find Spider-Man beating all of the champions of Cyttorak… But he may have just become one himself.
If that’s confusing to you, Cyttorak is the evil god who Spider-Man has been tasked to defeat by Doctor Doom. Each time Spider-Man battles one of the Scions of Cyttorak, he dies — leading to the “8 Deaths” of the title.
But per PR from Marvel, “Spider-Man used the last of the extra lives and is done. True death. In AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #69, things have never looked more bleak as the X-Men fight among themselves, and Doctors Doom and Strange reunite—only to find the situation unwinnable. In AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #70, ENTER THE SPIDER-NAUT! But who is this unstoppable webbed-wonder?! And does he represent the world’s last hope or Cyttorak’s ultimate victory?”
Issue #69 hits stores on March 12, 2025, and issue #70 hits stores on March 26, 2025.
The Thing Gets Cured In Upcoming Issues Of Fantastic Four:
Marvel has already teased that Doctor Doom will deal a devastating blow to the Fantastic Four in One World Under Doom #2. And now, thanks to the publisher’s solicits for event tie-in issues, we know what happens: Doom cures Ben Grimm of being The Thing, turning the team into the Fantastic Three.
This is far from the first time Ben Grimm has been cured, of course, so we’d expect him to return to his rocky self at some point. But this plot point will reverberate through the Fantastic Four for the foreseeable future.
Per PR from Marvel, “After Ben Grimm has suffered a terrible (and very public) defeat at the hands of Doom, he’s left lost, adrift – and more vulnerable than he has been in years. And when a trip to New York goes wrong and his fate suddenly turns from bad to worse, Ben has never been more vulnerable – and soon takes a shocking shortcut he won’t be able to undo! This is one Thing and Alicia story you won’t soon forget!”
How this will impact the upcoming The Thing miniseries? Probably won’t. But we’ll see if he gets turned back by the time the new movie arrives in July. Fantastic Four #30 hits stores on March 26, 2025.
