‘Superman’ Motion Poster Features John Williams Score, First Trailer Teased For Thursday

Things are heating up in the world of Superman. Not only has DC Studios released a motion poster for the 2025 movie featuring a take on John Williams’s iconic score, but director/writer James Gunn has teased the first trailer is hitting Thursday, with a look at the new Superman logo.

First things first: the 53 second motion poster features David Corenswet as Superman, looking and flying up as the iconic colors of the superhero flow around him. Behind it is a choral version of John Williams’s classic theme for Superman, which likely won’t appear in the new movie as the score is composed by James Murphy, not Williams. Still, it’s a haunting take on the classic, and drives home Gunn and DC Studios’s commitment to legacy.

As for the teaser trailer, it’ll drop Thursday — likely 9am ET, though that’s speculation — and the brief clip posted by Gunn shows off a metallic Superman logo, with wind blowing in the background and the tagline “Look Up.” Again, just speculation but I’d bet this is a look at the Fortress of Solitude, given the wind and cool atmosphere. You can check out the brief tease, below:

Superman hits theaters on July 11, 2025.
