Looking forward to The Lucky Devils, the new title from Charles Soule and Ryan Browne? If so, you’re going to have to be a lucky devil to get your hands on one of the many, limited edition variant covers just revealed by Image Comics.
Per the publisher, in addition to the already revealed main cover art by Browne and a variant cover by some guy named Frank Miller, there will also be a blank sketch cover, limited foil-treated Miller covers, and variants with original artwork on them drawn by Browne.
But wait… That’s not all! There will also be the following limited quantities of covers at the following shops, by the following artists: William Russell (Prideland Comics & Collectibles), Erik Elizarrez (Top Shelf), Huy Dinh (Spectral Comics), Skoot Starnes (TN Comic Collector), Scott & Simon McFarland (Geek Boutique), Camron T. Johnson (Afshari Comics), Michael McComb (Economics in Comics), Brett Bean (616 Comics), Trish Forstner (Bird City Comics), Drew Zucker (Strange Tales To Sell), Matthew Waite (Comic Kingdom Creative), and Browne (Peebles Comics & Games).
More covers will also be released soon, but why the hype for this? As Image notes, when Soule and Browne’s previous collabo Eight Billion Genies launched, it nabbed 100,000 orders from stores, is being developed by Amazon, and consistently got reorders on subsequent issues.
The Lucky Devils is a different concept, but in the same vein with two 20-something Chicagoans getting devils to “help them” fix their lives, and changing the world as we know it. The book hits on January 8, 2025, but you can check out the covers, below. And click for larger versions.
