The Creature Commandos are coming to Max this Thursday, kicking of the new DCU that will span TV and movies. Their first mission? Take over the DC Shop with dozens of new products, including t-shirts, stickers, mugs, and more. And we’ve got a look at the full lineup of what to expect, below.
In the new series written by DC Studios impresario James Gunn, Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) assembled a Task Force M — monsters — to do the dirty work she can no longer force humans to do. You can find out more in our Creature Commandos review, but I think we can all agree that the plot is less important than the swag.
That’s a joke, of course, but that is also what we’re here to talk about. And the products run an array of designs featuring team members Rick Flag Sr., The Bride, Dr. Nina Mazursky, Dr. Phosphorus, G.I. Robot, Weasel, and Eric Frankenstein. Unfortunately, just to get it out of the way, no, there’s no hoodie that glows in the dark and makes you look like Doctor Phosphorous. But that’s probably also for the best, he’s a murdering maniac.
Wondering what to expect? First up, there’s a line of unisex sports jerseys featuring The Bride and Eric Frankenstein, so you can get matching, extremely messed-up outfits with your SO.
If drinkware is more your thing, there’s some can-shaped glasses; or you pick up a sweet mug to sip some java while you contemplate sending monsters to do your dirty work.
If you prefer to stick behind a computer screen like John Economos (Steve Agee), maybe you’d be more interested in a mouse pad? Great news, there are Creature Commandos mouse pads, in multiple sizes.
Alternately, you might be more pensive like… Well, none of the characters on the show, they’re all action, all the time. But the DC Shop has notebooks, anyway, just like in the hit movie, The Notebook, a little known movie that not many people have seen (you’ll get this joke in a few weeks, don’t worry). Oh, and there are stickers, too! Stickers!
But back to clothing, if that’s what you’re looking for there are a slew of shirts and hoodies, which you can check out below. Creature Commandos premieres Thursday, December 5 on Max with two new episodes. You can head to the DC Shop now to pick up all the swag your heart can handle.
