The MCU’s hottest club is “will Agatha All Along get a Season 2?” While at first it seemed like the series would be one and done, evidence has been mounting that perhaps Marvel Studios and Disney are considering a second season for the witchy series. And a new production listing that popped up tonight is adding more fuel to the fire.
Specifically, a listing for an Agatha All Along Season 2 in this week’s issue of Production Weekly, a trade magazine used by those who work in production to seek out jobs. Our regular caveat here that PW is very open about not vetting their sources, and often will throw things in based only on internet rumors. They’re not trying to break stories, they’re trying to provide people looking for jobs the opportunity to get those jobs.
That said, if there’s one thing I’ve learned covering PW listings in the past, it’s that if something does not seem to be directly sourced off an internet rumor, there may be some truth to it. In the past, they’ve revealed that James Spader was cast in the Vision series, 24 hours before that was announced. Same with the casting of Ruthye in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, and the existence of a Transformers/G.I. Joe movie.
…Which is why this listing for Agatha All Along Season 2 caught my eye. There’s no piece of big evidence here, as all the info in the associating blurb, including showrunner Jac Schaeffer and directors
Gandja Monteiro and Rachel Goldberg seems to be sourced from the info for Season 1, versus breaking any particular news. The only thing different is an indication that it would potentially head into production in the fourth quarter of 2025. But other than some recent FYC (For Your Consideration) style interviews with cast and crew, there’s also nothing that would particularly spur on a listing like this — at least nothing I’ve found.
So is there an Agatha All Along Season 2 in the offing? Will Ghost Agatha (Kathryn Hahn) and Wiccan (Joe Locke) head down, down the Witches’ Road one more time? Hopefully, with Golden Globe nominations heating up, we could hear something more definitive, and soon.
