Are you ready to probe further into the “True Weird” world of alien abductions and visitations? If so, you’re going to want to pick up Blue Book Library Edition Volume 1, which collects the first two series in the excellent comic book series.

Written by James Tynion IV with art by Michael Avon Oeming, and letters by Aditya Bidikar, Blue Book tells “true” stories of alien encounters. The first series, Blue Book 1961, per PR provided to Comic Book Club, retells “the story of the Betty and Barney Hill abduction—the widely publicized and very first abduction that went on to shape and influence all future encounter stories.” The second Blue Book: 1947, follows “pilot Kenneth Arnold, who flew his Call-Air A-2 over the skies of the Pacific Northwest and encountered otherworldly blinding flashes of silver light that would change the course of his life forever.”

Both series will be collected in the Library Edition from Dark Horse Comics and Tiny Onion, which will be available on July 9, 2025. You can check out the cover, below.
