3W/3M [ONE], aka 3 Worlds / 3 Moons, is a combined comic book universe created by Jonathan Hickman Mike del Mundo, and Mike Huddleston. And while the currently running Kickstarter for the project has been pretty successful, they’ve got one (likely) final stretch goal up their sleeves: a Peach Momoko [Shift] Variant. And it’ll only be unlocked if the crowdfunder hits $125k by end of day Wednesday (November 27).
First of all, what is 3 Worlds / 3 Moons? Great question, my best friend. It’s an expansive universe of stories that has, thus far, been running online on Substack, with over 30,000 subscribers. This Kickstarter, however, is for a physical copy of the books. All in a deluxe hardcover or as three, standalone editions, the volume(s) contain, per the Kickstarter, “the core stories that set the stage for everything to come.”
But the thing is, that’s unpublished material. There’s plenty that has already existed on the Substack… And so that’s also being collected in “three 200-page graphic novel sourcebooks and two 200-page anthology volumes.” While this has been online for years, as NBC used to say? If you haven’t seen it, it’s new to you!
Regardless, that’s a lot of stuff. So how about even more stuff? As of this writing, the Kickstarter is at just over $121,000, spitting distance from the $125,000 needed to unlock the Peach Momoko cover. Specifically, they’re offering a $15 Shift Variant (Limited to 1,000), a $20 Shift Virgin Variant (Limited to 500), a $25 Shift B&W Sketch Virgin Variant (Limited to 500), and a $50 bundle of all three, limited to 200. Slightly related, but I love how comic book covers become rarer the less stuff that’s on them.
Anyway, if you want to support the Kickstarter project — and help unlock the Peach Momoko variant — you’ve got until Thursday, November 28, 2024 at 12 AM EST. However, you can check out a peek at the full cover, below:
