R.L. Stine is no stranger to continuing series, so it’s no surprise that BOOM! Studios‘s The Graveyard Club is getting a sequel. Titled The Graveyard Club: Fresh Blood, the second series also features art by Carola Borelli.
“Darker and darker,” said Stine via press release. “The town has so many dark secrets to reveal, I wondered if any of my teen characters would survive! I love mixing normal teen life with the supernatural. I hope readers will be drawn into the dark mysteries and surprises.”
In the book, the members of the Graveyard Club — a bunch of kids who hang out in the graveyard — per PR, “attempt to move on from the disturbing events of last semester but the strange disappearances of Parker and Rhonda’s fathers is too big of a mystery to ignore. A return to the scene of the crime may be just what they need to discover the terrifying truth of that night…but can they survive their investigation long enough to uncover the lurking darkness within?”
Added Borelli, “Returning to Graves End was a bit like coming home. I enjoyed the whole trip, accompanying Parker and his friends in this new adventure full of mystery and suspense. Explaining what this second volume is, is impossible, you could only read it and live it, like the members of the Graveyard Club”
