Marvel February 2025 Solicit Highlights:
Marvel’s February 2025 solicits are here, teasing books coming to comic book stores in three short months. And the big news from the House of Ideas? It’s One World Under Doom, baby!
Doctor Doom declares himself Emperor of the World in the event, which will be headlined by the first of nine issues of One World Under Doom by Ryan North and R.B. Silva. Doom Academy tackles the students of Doom, Thunderbolts: Doomstrike sends Bucky and team after Doom, Red Hulk sends Thunderbolt Ross after Doom, Weapon X-Men sends the X-Men after Doom, and Fantastic Four, Storm, and X-Factor all tie in as well. That’s a lot of Doctor Doom.
In non-Doom news, Eddie Brock is now Carnage, in a new series by Charles Soule and Jesús Saiz. And Power Man is now Iron Fist in Power Man: Timeless by Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing, and Bernard Chang, picking up the thread that was teased way back in Timeless #1 last December.
Over in the Ultimate Universe the big news is the debut of Ultimate Luke Cage, who is not Ultimate Iron Fist, in a new issue of Ultimates. Meanwhile, Ultimate Spider-Man pits Spidey and Green Goblin against Kraven The Hunter, and Ultimate Wolverine #2 finds the title character hunting down a mutant liberation group.
Let’s jump over to X-Men land, where a lot is going down. Mystique #5 and Sentinels #5 both wrap up those miniseries, while in two issues of X-Men the team battles an alien invasion side-by-side with Alpha Flight. Wolverine #6 is teasing a “jaw-dropping surprise.”
February’s Women of Marvel special is titled She-Devils, and includes stories from Stephanie Phillips, Alison Sampson and more. Deadpool and Miles Morales cross over in their respective issues in a story titled “Pools of Blood” from writer Cody Ziglar. Marvel Mutts #1 collects the first 12 issues of the Unlimited series in one 48-page issue. Firestar hooks up with new character Blue Bolt in West Coast Avengers #4. And in Aliens vs. Avengers #3 the team faces down the Engineers — and the X-Men show up, too.
It’s also a busy month for Star Wars fans, with Star Wars: The Legacy of Vader #1 telling the story of Kylo Ren, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Adaptation #1 doing what the title says, and Star Wars: The High Republic – Fear The Jedi #1 showing what scares the Jedi.
And last but not least, if you like DC’s Compact Comics, get ready for Marvel’s Premier Collection, which debuts in February, and is larger than Compact Comics and also more expensive.
For Comic Book Club News, I’m Alex Zalben. And I’m also larger and more expensive!
