DC Comics February 2025 Solicit Highlights:

Here are some of the highlights from DC Comics’s solicits for February 2025, text sent to retailers and press to spur on advance orders.

First up? Chip Zdarsky finishes his run on Batman with an over-sized issue #157, featuring art by Jorge Jimenéz and Tony S. Daniel. Meanwhile, the text for Absolute Batman #5 promises that Bruce might have something even “bigger than himself” up his sleeves. Given issue #2 revealed a Batmobile the size of a building, I’ll just assume it’s a whole Bat-Moon. And in Batman: The Long Halloween – The Last Halloween #5, the legendary Bill Sienkiewicz hops in for a Valentine’s Day story featuring The Joker.

In non-Batman news, Zatanna #1 hits in February, with Jamal Campbell both writing and drawing the story of the magician superhero, as her stage crew gets kidnapped by a new villain. Aquaman #2 teases that the title character is getting new water-morphing abilities, though doesn’t specify if he says “it’s water-morphin time.” And Green Lantern Corps #1 teams up every character who isn’t Hal Jordan in one universe spanning series.

Over in The Question: All Along The Watchtower #4, seems like the “true mastermind behind the conspiracy to take over the Justice League’s headquarters stands revealed.” Writer Sina Grace hops on Shazam! #20 to tell a one-shot team-up story between the title character and Jon Kent, where the latter gets transformed back into a little boy. And DC vs. Vampires: World War V – Darkness and Light tells a double-sized story paralleling vampire Wonder Woman with Green Lantern Alfred Pennyworth.

Over at Black Label, Jenny Sparks #7 wraps up Tom King and Jeff Spokes’s series with one final battle between Jenny and Captain Atom. Not a new book, but Superman: The Last Days Of Lex Luthor #1 gets a second printing for the Mark Waid/Bryan Hitch book, now that the next two issues are done and ready to hit stores in March and April.

And finishing up, to highlight DC’s excellent, affordable Compact Comics line, two collected editions are coming your way in February: Wonder Woman: Blood and Guts by Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang; and DC The New Frontier by the legendary Darwyn Cooke.
