Every year, Marvel releases an issue that teases the future of the Marvel Universe, usually with some sort of mash-up page that shows off future storylines. And that’s exactly what’s going to happen in December’s Timeslide #1. But if you’re looking for a tease of that tease, look no further.
In the page provided by Marvel, we’re getting to see Bishop and who is likely Eva Bell, aka Tempus, inside some sort of crystalline structure packed with panels showing off other characters from Marvel. Per PR from the publisher, “The epic year-ending one-shot gives fans a glimpse at 2025’s most unforgettable stories including the next major X-Men milestone, exciting character debuts, and more!”
So, what can we see in the one-page provided? At least what isn’t marked “Classified”? So, a few things. Working from the top right, you’ve got Moon Squire, a sidekick character who will appear in New Champions. Then there’s Dormammu, and Doctor Doom, who is now Sorcerer Supreme and central to Marvel’s plans for the next year.
Right under Moon Squire is the version of Luke Cage seen in last year’s Timeless special, one from the future who is now trapped somewhere in the present of the Marvel Universe and will appear in the upcoming Power Man series. To the left of Bishop is Spider-Man in the Doctor Doom armor he’s wearing in the currently running “Eight Deaths of Spider-Man” storyline in Amazing Spider-Man. Above Eva’s head is Ironheart.
And working our way down we’ve got Cable, She-Hulk, and what looks like it could be a younger version of the evil Hulk, Maestro. Or it could also be a return to the World War Hulk era in some way. Either way, Hulk is sporting a near headband.
Timeslide #1 hits stores on December 25, 2025 from Marvel, written by Steve Foxe with art by Ivan Fiorelli.
