Since Ghost Machine, the start-up co-op imprint publishing through Image Comics, was announced, we knew there would be four distinct universes. And now in The Rocketfellers #2, those universes will unite in a double-page spread penciled by artists from throughout the collective.
That includes Rocketfellers artist Francis Manapul, as well as Jason Fabok, Gary Frank, Bryan Hitch, Ivan Reis, and Peter Snejbjerg, who show off the “Unnamed” universe, the Rook: Exodus universe, horror universe Hyde Street, and of course the Rocketfellers own “Family Odysseys” universe, which also includes Hornsby & Halo.
“The amount of effort everybody put into those panels is inspiring,” said Manapul via a press release provided to Comic Book Club.
Added writer Peter J. Tomasi, “Aside from loving the pure artistry of each of the artists, it also hammers home to me—and I hope the readers—how wonderfully distinct the entire line of books coming out from Ghost Machine is, and what a wide breadth of genres and compelling characters that are incredibly brought to life by the passion of their creators.”
The Rocketfellers #1 hits stores on November 20, and finds a family from the future hiding out in 2024 — until a threat from their time pops up in our modern day.
The Rocketfellers #2 hits stores on December 18, and you can check out the uncropped double-page spread, below.
