While the story might be over for Hellboy and the B.P.R.D., in Frankenstein: New World, things jumped forward years in the future to introduce a young girl named Lilja, raised in Hollow Earth, who encounters the titular monster of legend. Now, that adventure continues with Frankenstein: New World – The Sea of Forever, and Comic Book Club has your exclusive first look at the cover to issue #2
The Dark Horse Comics book is written by Hellboy Daddy (don’t call him that) Mike Mignola himself, along with frequent collaborators Christopher Golden and Tom Sniegoski. Returning on art for this new series is Peter Bergting, with colors by Michelle Madsen. Bergting also provides the cover you can see below, which finds our Frankenstein monster and his powerful nipples holding off what looks like undead zombie mermaids.
Comics are great, folks. Seriously.
Anyway, the series actually doesn’t debut until February 5, 2025, so there’s still time to add this official continuation of the Hellboy/B.P.R.D. universe to your pull list. Frankenstein: New World–The Sea of Forever #2 hits stores on March 12, 2025. You can check out the cover, and solicit text below.
