Family Force V isn’t hitting stores until next year from Skybound Comet, but you can check out an extended first look here. Written by Matt Braly with art by Ainsworth Lin, the all-ages graphic novel pits alien kaiju against a family, and per PR “promises to be your next graphic novel obsession.”
“Matt Braly and Ainsworth Lin’s graphic novel debut is absolutely electrifying,” said Alex Antone, Editorial Director at Skybound via a press release provided to Comic Book Club. “And while this book may look like an action-packed blockbuster (and it is) — it’s the quieter moments with Moon Trooper Maise that’ll have you begging for more.”
Family Force V hits comic shops on May 28, 2025, and bookstores on June 10, 2025.

Family Force V Official Synopsis:
Fighting alien kaiju with your family on a Friday night is a totally normal part of being a teenager…right? Well, it is for Maise who, despite her protests, must continue the family legacy of keeping the world safe, all while trying to get good grades, impress her crush, and balance extracurriculars. But when tragedy strikes, Maise is forced to figure out how to be herself when she feels destined to be someone else for not only her family, but the world.
