We’re seeing bright things ahead in Agatha All Along‘s future. The seventh episode, “Death’s Hand In Mine,” snagged 4.2 million views globally in just one day, according to Disney. That’s up 35% from the premiere, and points to a promising ending for the finale of the series, next week.

The news comes via Deadline, which does not note that these Disney-provided numbers are a little different from Nielsen numbers. To stick with Disney’s “official” numbers for a second, Agatha got 9.3 million views in the first seven days, based on two episodes. This number represents the total stream time divided by runtime. Compare that to The Acolyte, which got 11.1 million views in its first five days, or Ahsoka, which snagged 14 million views in the same period. Loki Season 2, meanwhile, got 10.9 million views in three days.

So yeah, not quite there on Disney’s self-released numbers — but getting 4.2 million views in one day is potentially a promising move in an upward trajectory for the series.

That said? Disney is going to put out whatever numbers they want to make the show look good. And in this case (no shade) putting this news out there is a way of saying “Hey look, this is a hit show! Come check out the finale!”

Compare that to Nielsen, which independently ranks streamers a month behind schedule. In its first week, it garnered 426 million minutes, based on two episodes, and ranked eighth on the list of Streaming Originals. In the period between September 23 and 29, with three episodes, Agatha dropped to 10 on the list and got 365 million minutes. By contrast, the number one show on the list, Monsters: The Lyle and Eric Menendez Story, got 2.396 billion minutes. Yes, Monsters has longer episodes, and there are eight of them, but Agatha in its second week wasn’t exactly a bewitching hit.

Will things rise on the Nielsen list by the end? Given the recent, buzzy sixth episode (the reveal of Teen’s identity) and this lauded seventh episode, we’ll know soon enough if Agatha All Along becoming a legit hit is in the cards.
