‘Storm: Lifedream’ Celebrates The History Of The X-Men’s Weather Goddess

Storm Lifedream #1

Storm is everywhere these days. The weather goddess has her own solo title, is front and center in The Avengers, and now will take center stage for this year’s Marvel Voice Black History Month special, Storm: Lifedream #1.

In the book, per PR from Marvel, when “intergalactic historians attempt to update their records on one of the most famous X-Men in multiversal history, they’ll find a woman too powerful to contain – and risk unleashing a side of her no one’s seen before! Experience a whirlwind journey across Storm’s most iconic eras as a malevolent entity threatens to corrupt her legacy!”

The anthology is “spearheaded” by Marvel’s Voices creator Angélique Roché, and will include stories by Curtis Baxter, Brittney Morris, John Jennings, Karen S. Darboe, Edwin Galmon, and more. It will also feature covers by Taurin Clarke and current Storm artist, Lucas Werneck.

And in case it wasn’t abundantly obvious, the title is a riff on one of the most famous Storm stories, “Lifedeath.” It’ll be interesting to see if Lifedream riffs on it more in any way, beyond the title of the book.

Check out both the covers, below. Storm: Lifedream #1 will hit stores on January 29, 2025.
