As just revealed at DC Comics‘s Absolute Universe/All In panel at New York Comic Con, writer Jeremy Adams is pulling double duty for the publisher… Taking on an all-new Aquaman ongoing, and kicking off a new storyline that introduces the rise of the “Fractal Lanterns” in Green Lantern, which he’ll continue to write.
First, Aquaman, who comes back to his own title as part of DC All In. Adams will be paired with artist John Timms, which finds, per PR provided to Comic Book Club, “Aquaman’s powers have gotten a serious upgrade since the events of Absolute Power, and these new abilities will come in handy, as he’ll be fighting giant, water-based kaiju constructs appearing throughout the seven seas, while investigating the secrets of the ‘Blue’ with Dagon, a guide from Aquaman’s past.”

As for Green Lantern, big stuff is coming after the recent Green Lantern Civil Corps Special. The Green Lantern: Fractured Spectrum special hits on January 8, and finds Hal Jordan investigating a new threat, “‘Fractal Lanterns,’ beings that manifest uncontrolled parts of the emotional spectrum, appearing throughout the universe and threatening the very essence of sentient life.”
