Zeb Wells, Steve Epting, Kalman Andrasofszky Join Giant Generator

Image Comics and Giant Generator

Giant Generator, an imprint that publishes through Image Comics, is adding three comic book superstars to its roster: Steve Epting (Velvet), Zeb Wells (Spider-ManDeadpool & Wolverine), and artist Kalman Andrasofszky (Dungeons & Dragons). All three will be part of upcoming series that will debut in 2025, TBA.

“Having the opportunity to curate a distinct line of comic books with talent of this caliber is a dream come true,” said Giant Generator’s Rick Remender of the new arrivals, via a press release provided to Comic Book Club. “The goal at Image’s Giant Generator imprint is to make a line of books with the best people in the industry, all given the infrastructure, financial support, and time to create something that will stand as the best each of them are capable of… and something the creators own 100%. Thrilled to be working with all these fine folks and to show the world the wholly unique dream projects they’re bleeding on.”

Per PR from Image, Remember will collaborate with some of these creators on projects, while others will be teaming up with other Giant Generator writers and artists. Given there are three people announced here, I’ll leave it up to you to figure out which is which.

Giant Generator, like Ghost Machine and Tiny Onion, joins a small army of creator-forward imprints that publish through Image Comics. Giant Generator’s main ethos is that “All creators will retain full rights on books owned 100% by the creative teams.”

Like Ghost Machine, Giant Generator has a slew of exclusive deals with artists and writers. Other than Remender, there’s (deep breath): Daniel Acuña (Uncanny Avengers, Captain America), André Lima Araújo (A Righteous Thirst For Vengeance, Spider-Verse), Paul Azaceta (Outcast by Kirkman & Azaceta, Punisher), Bengal (Spider-Gwen, Death Or Glory), Roland Boschi (The Scumbag, Winter Soldier), Max Fiumara (The Sacrificers, Amazing Spider-Man), JG Jones (Wanted, Marvel Boy), Francesco Mobili (Secret Wars, Spawn), Brett Parson (Tank Girl), Yanick Paquette (Wonder Woman, Batman Incorporated), and Greg Tocchini (Low, Uncanny X-Force).
