The Absolute Universe is expanding dramatically. We’ve already gotten the blockbuster Absolute Batman, Absolute Wonder Woman arrives next week, and Absolute Superman next month. And then in March, another one: Absolute Martian Manhunter arrives, from writer Deniz Camp and artist Javier Rodríguez.
The news was announced today at New York Comic Con at DC Comics‘ All In/Absolute Universes Panel. This is in addition to Absolute Green Lantern and Absolute Flash, which will also join the line in 2025.
Camp has been tearing things up at Marvel with The Ultimates, and this marks his DC Comics debut. Meanwhile, Javier Rodríguez most recently tackled the superb Zatanna: Bring Down The House. DC teases that “Fans will have to wait until next March to see if Chocos (Martian Manhunter’s favorite snack) will be involved.”
While details are light otherwise, we do have some stunning development art from Rodríguez, featuring the actually alien looks at the character… Including what looks like a clay, Gumby-style figurine.
Absolute Martian Manhunter #1 hits stores on March 19, 2025.

Thank you for posting this! Wasn’t able to attend this year and I was looking forward to this panel. Love how different this looks. Did they have any updates on Absolute Green Lantern?
