‘Vampirella’ #675 Kicks Off New Jumping On Point For Dynamite’s Long-Running Series

Happy birthday to Vampirella, the iconic Dynamite comic book character, who is celebrating Vampirella #675 next year. And you know what? Based on the covers provided by the publisher, she doesn’t look an issue over 625.

Written by Christopher Priest, with art by Aaron Felizmenio and letters by Willie Schubert, despite the high number Dynamite is touting the issue as a jumping-on point that will lay the seeds for Vampirella #700, which likely won’t hit until some time in 2027. In the issue, per PR provided by Dynamite, “Vampirella’s analyst Doc Chary is brought before a review board to explain his conduct with his bizarre patient. How can he explain his alleged ‘enabling’ of her ‘vampire fetish’-inspired paracosm to those who do not know the deeper, darker truths of her life and backstory?”

Along with the dive into Vampirella’s backstory, and new jumping on point, the publisher also revealed covers for the January 2025 debuting issue. They come from Jenny Frison, Elias Chatzoudis, Lucio Parrillo, Joseph Michael Linsner, and cosplayer Rachel Hollon.

Dynamite also teases that there are more surprises to come the month following this issue, including the return of artist Ergün Gündüz. That one isn’t a surprise, because I just told you. Click on the covers to view larger versions.
