‘G.I. Joe’ #1 Reveals New Pages, Covers By Lee Bermejo, Jenny Frison And More

GI Joe #1 cover

We’re still about a month away from the release of Skybound and Image Comics G.I. Joe #1. But at the pace they’re going, we’re going to get the whole issue posted online before then. But if the new pages and new covers provided by Skybound are this good looking? Well, I’m not mad.

Written by Joshua Williamson with art by Tom Reilly and colors by Jordie Bellaire, the new G.I. Joe #1 is the culmination of several miniseries — and a big step forward for G.I. Joe and Cobra in the new Energon Universe.

“I feel honored at the amazing talent that jumped at the opportunity to be a part of this historic launch issue,” noted tired series editor, Ben Abernathy via a press release provided to Comic Book Club. “To see some of the best in this business putting their spin on these iconic characters with these covers is nothing short of amazing!”

Along with the first seven pages of the issue below, you can get a sneak peek at some of the covers. The full lineup includes: Reilly; Jerome Opeña & Dave Stewart; Brett Booth, Livesay & Andrew Dalhouse; David Finch, Danny Miki & Dave McCaig; Lee Bermejo; Sozomaika; Jenny Frison; David Nakayama; Jeff Spokes, E.J. Su; Jonboy Meyers; and Andrea Milana & Andres Juarez.

G.I. Joe #1 hits stores on November 13, 2024. Check out the pages and covers below, and click for larger versions.
