In the Season 4 premiere of Superman & Lois, Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) takes Clark Kent’s (Tyler Hoechlin) virginity. To be clear, you don’t see it happening — despite the excessive violence in the first two episodes, this is still technically a family show — but the series does canonically establish that Clark Kent was the thirty-year-old virgin*.
The news comes pretty early in the season premiere episode, “The End & The Beginning.” While in real-time Superman is fighting Doomsday in space, and Lois is slowly losing her mind with worry on Earth, we flash back to the moment after Clark told Lois that he’s Superman.
They’re in the kitchen on the Kent farm, alone, and Lois is trying to wrap her head around the reveal… Most of all why Clark is telling her now, after they’ve already been on so many adventures? “Because I’m in love with you,” Clark explains. “More in love than I ever thought I could be.”
After reminiscing about the day he realized Lois was in love with him, something he calls “the best day of my life,” she doesn’t say anything. He’s worried she’s mad, but she is decidedly not mad. She grabs Clark, kisses, him, and starts to drag him to the stairs. Now Clark panics, and says, “Oh, you wanna–“
“Go to your bedroom,” Lois says. “Right now.”
Lois reminds Clark that his mom will be gone for a while, and he starts stammering, “It’s just that I’ve never um– um–“

“Done it in your childhood bedroom, it’ll be fine,” Lois says, cutting him off. “I’ll turn the Cal Ripkin around so he’s not watching!”
“That’s not what I meant,” says Clark, laughing nervously. “Um, I’ve never…”
“Oh,” says Lois, realizing what he’s talking about. “I love you. There’s no one else for me.”
“I love you too,” says Clark.
“Good. Then get ready to have a new best day of your life.”
The show cuts back to the present, but the implication is clear, that Lois is Clark’s first and only in the continuity of Superman & Lois. Though perhaps this falls under the heading of TMI, I’d argue it reaffirms the sweet, earnest nature of the relationship between Clark and Lois… Right before Superman dies later in the episode (don’t worry, he’ll be back). It’s also consistent with the version of the character depicted in the series — and helps follow up on a moment (that would be Clark revealing he’s Superman) tying back to the first episode of the show.
So beyond any “tee-hee” reaction to discussions of sex and Superman, it’s actually an emotionally charged reminder of what these two characters mean to each other. Cal Ripken may be nicknamed “the Iron Man,” but even he would be a fan of this little detail about Superman.
*Technically in continuity Clark was likely mid-twenties when he and Lois did the deed, but saying “the mid-twenties virgin” is less funny, so please excuse me, the internet.
