Seems like comic book shops were all in on the DC All In Special, as DC Comics‘s kick-off of its big publishing initiative has sold out at the distributor level. And not only that, the oversized flipbook is getting a second printing.
Written by Scott Snyder and Joshua Williamson, with art by Daniel Sampere and Wes Craig, the DC All In Special pivots off the events of Absolute Power to present a new vision of the DC Universe. In the mainline universe, you have hopeful superheroism, led by Superman and the reunited Justice League. And then there’s the darker, more chaotic Absolute Universe, infused with Darkseid energy.
The second printing of the issue will be released on October 30 with a new black, white, and red version of the main cover by Daniel Sampere and Alejandro Sánchez. There will also be a variant cover featuring the new version of the DC logo (aka the DC Bullet), which is faded and mostly blank so it can be used for commissions at upcoming conventions.
That same day, DC will also release a second printing of the also sold-out Absolute Batman #1. The regular version of that book will hit stores next week, on October 9.
