The mysteries are piling up on Agatha All Along, from the identity of Rio Vidal (Aubrey Plaza) to the identity of Teen (Joe Locke). But there’s one mystery you may not have noticed is there at all, if you’ve skipped the Agatha All Along end credits. Because it sure looks like there’s space for an additional cast member. And it definitely seems to be Wanda Maximoff, aka The Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen).
In the Agatha All Along end credits, we get to see images and articles depicting witchcraft throughout the years… Both real and fictional. That includes Lisa Simpson, Fairuza Balk’s character from The Craft, the Evil Queen from Disney’s Snow White, and many more. But when we get to the cast list, there are specific images that tie into the characters everyone plays.
To further break this down, let’s take a look at the cards that have names attached to them and what they mean… Before we get into the raw speculation for this mystery title card.
First up is Kathryn Hahn, who plays Agatha Harkness. This one is pretty clear because Agatha either is or sees herself as the Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz. In fact, mild spoilers, but as seen in the trailer the Witches’ Road will turn her into ol’ Elphaba in a future episode. There’s also a musical staff and what looks like disco balls, which ties nicely into this week’s episode.

Sasheer Zamata, who plays Jennifer Kale, has a pretty straightforward end credits card as well. And a note, I’m going out of order here so as not to get too in the weeds up front. Kale was first seen hocking new age crystals and creams in her store, so that’s what we get for her.

Debra Jo Rupp, who plays the dear, departed Sharon Davis, aka Mrs. Hart is represented by plants. Hey, she was working on her garden when we saw her in this show! And she was unfortunately recruited as the coven’s green witch — despite having no powers.

Similarly, Patti Lupone’s Lilia Calderu was first seen working at a fortune teller’s shop. Hence, she gets “fate” circled and Tarot cards. However, it is interesting that The Magician card is shown here, pointing up. As usual with Tarot it has a lot of meanings, but it can indicate psychic powers — which Lilia has — or just generally power, or willpower.

To highlight one card you might have missed, as it only included a name in Episode 2, Okwui Okpokwasili plays Vertigo, one of the Salem Seven. She popped up in the credits over a painting of a kid wearing a witch costume. What that means is TBD, though the Salem Seven were all wearing full-body costumes, and have the ability to transform. We’ll likely see them again before this is all over.

Ali Ahn, who plays Alice Wu-Gulliver, has a slightly curious one. She’s a protection witch, but this looks like a summoning circle… Not the sort of circle she drew around members of the coven in this week’s episode to protect them from her family’s curse. My guess here is that coming up we’re going to have an ’80s-style sleepover/slasher movie episode, and that’s what this is from.
Also curious? A headline in the upper left corner, which isn’t clear but looks like it could say “Entire Nation Demands G.O.P. Take The Helm.” To speculate, if this is an ’80s episode it could tie into the Satanic Panic of the ’80s, something that was fueled by the Republican party.

And now it’s time to really go to speculation crazytown, thanks to Joe Locke’s end credits card. I don’t want to get too lost here, because the point of this article is the missing name. But having Locke, who plays the mysterious Teen, have his name displayed alongside a headline that says “Near Death In Westview” is extremely suspicious.
The popular theory here is that Teen is named Billy Kaplan, and Billy died in a car crash in Westview. However, as soon as he died, his body was taken over by the soul of Billy Maximoff, the son of the Scarlet Witch. Hence the “near death” since it looked like he died briefly (and did die), before Billy M. took over Billy K’s body. Regardless of whether this is accurate or not, there’s more to come here.

Another mystery character, another mystery title card. Aubrey Plaza is Rio Vidal, and her title card is a spider — possibly a tarantula – with what looks like it could be a specimen number, “00B 23114D1.” While that number doesn’t turn up anything other than other folks speculating about this title card, it is curious that THE Green Witch has a spider to represent her. Again, what a spider represents is all over the place. But spiders do connect to the web of fate in witchcraft, as well as transformation and change. How that connects to the popular theory about Rio Vidal’s identity, which I won’t spoil here, is TBD.
But I will wildly speculate about one thing. We know that some normal human Doctor blocked Jennifer Kale’s powers. We also know that Rio did something to Agatha that hurt her, that she didn’t want to do — likely took or killed her son, Nicholas Scratch. Perhaps Rio is the one who connects all of the witches? Through her web of fate? Maybe she took Agatha’s son, masqueraded as the man who blocked Jennifer’s powers, put the curse on Alice’s family, and — okay, fine, spoiler warning here — is Death and took whoever we saw Lilia torn up about in her hallucination in Episode 2, and crying about when she saw the mural on the wall in this past week’s episode.

…But that’s not the point of this! The point of this article is that it seems likely we’ll be getting Wanda back in the land of the living after the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, based on the below title card.
I mean, look at it. It’s the town of Westview, clearly covered in Wanda’s hex, as featured in WandaVision. Who else could that title card be reserved for other than Elizabeth Olsen herself?
Is it possible this is for whoever plays Mephisto? Sure, maybe, if the character shows up in the red flesh and tightie-reddies on the series. It could also be for Billy Kaplan’s parents, if we get a flashback episode to Teen’s origins, as I highly suspect we will. If they lived in Westview during the Hex days, then sure, that would fit, I guess. But this seems like such a clear indicator that it might as well say “spot reserved for Elizabeth Olsen” in the credits until she shows up.

So, will Wanda return on Agatha All Along? And if so, when? We’ve got five more episodes to find out who, if anyone, is in that empty Agatha All Along end credits card space…
