[Bobby Flay voice] Are you ready for a showdown showdown? Well, get ready because Dynamite is launching a brand new special bringing the holidays to Townsville: Powerpuff Girls: Winter Snowdown Showdown.
Written by Daniel Kibblesmith, with art by Carlo Cid Lauro, the one-shot special finds Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup trying to find the perfect present for Profesor Utonium. But what do you get for the man who has, and can make, everything? Hopefully, it’s a Black Mercy, but that’s another company so I’m not holding my breath.
“The Powerpuff Girls isn’t just one of my favorite shows of all time, it’s one of the best ideas in the history of fiction,” said Kibblesmith via a press release provided to Comic Book Club. “I also loudly love the holidays and joking about the holidays (people have noticed and give me holiday assignments) so any fans of classic Powerpuff Girls comedy and action, kids and their parents, and any sentimental animated Christmas special lovers need to check this out!”
Along with Lauro, covers for the 28-page special will be provided by Cat Staggs and Francesco Tomaselli. Powerpuff Girls: Winter Snowdown Showdown will hit stores in December, on an exact date TBA.
