Are you ready to relive one of the most traumatizing comic book moments in history? If not, get ready, because The Cull artist Mattia De Iulis is revisiting the landmark hundredth issue of The Walking Dead with connecting variant covers for The Walking Dead Deluxe.
As revealed by Skybound and Image Comics, the six connecting covers depict the horrific moment when Negan bashed Glenn’s brains in. You know the scene, that’s the one where you put the comic book down, took a walk around the block, and reconsidered all the choices in your life that brought you to this point.
Anyway, these new covers will appear on The Walking Dead Deluxe #97 through #102, aka the “Something to Fear” arc that introduced Negan and The Saviors… As well as killing poor Glenn. Beyond the variants, the issues are also presented in full color for the first time by Dave McCaig, alongside writer Robert Kirkman and artist Charlie Adlard. The issues also include pinups and “Cutting Room Floor” commentary by Kirkman.
