Space Ghost is ditching coast to coast and heading planet to planet in the second arc of Dynamite‘s new series. As teased by the publisher, issue #7 of the ongoing series will send the title character and friends to the Planet of the Beasts.
“The intergalactic adventures are only just beginning in the pages of Space Ghost!” said series writer David Pepose via a press release provided to Comic Book Club. “While Space Ghost, Jan, Jace, and Blip have strengthened their bonds as cosmic crimefighters, the threat of Robo Corp still lingers throughout the galaxy. With new and returning villains lurking in the shadows, Space Ghost and his sidekicks will need to trust each other like never before… or else it may spell doom for the universe!”
The series is written by Pepose, with art by Jonathan Lau. And as Pepose teases, in the seventh issue Space Ghost and company find themselves on a weird jungle planet ruled by the Creature King, a villain who commands beasts. And given the beastly baddie, it’s up to pet monkey Blip to save the day.
Other upcoming events include a “tussle with Metallus, the dark alternate universe vision of our hero known as the Space Spectre, and a thrilling three-parter against the Council of Doom!”
The covers for the seventh issue are by Francesco Mattina, Jae Lee, Bjorn Barends, and Kubert School headmaster Anthony Marques. You can check them out below.
