‘What If…?’ MCU Original Kahhori Makes Her Marvel Comics Debut

Kahhori is one of the few original super-powered characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). But now, she’ll be making her debut in Marvel Comics proper, with Kahhori: Reshaper of Worlds #1.

First introduced in What If…? Season 2, Kahhori is a Mohawk warrior who fell through a magical portal and gained the powers of the Tesseract, aka the Space Stone. She then teamed up with Captain Carter to stop an insane version of Doctor Strange from destroying the multiverse.

In Kahhori: Reshaper of Worlds #1, she’ll enter the 616, aka the Marvel Comics universe* while chasing a threat from Sky World — the source of her powers. After landing in Hell’s Kitchen, Kahhori will encounter various guest stars from throughout Marvel Comics. The main story will be written by Ryan Little, who co-created Kahhori on What If…?, along with Indigenous creators Arihhonni “Honni” David and Kelly Lynne D’Angelo.

(*Yes, the movies call the movie universe the 616. They are wrong. Thank you.)

The Marvel Voices special will be released in celebration of Native American Heritage Month and feature art by David Cutler, Jim Terry, and more.
