The world of Black Panther is rapidly expanding. Last night (August 9) at D23 Marvel teased the long-in-development Ironheart, spinning out of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. And today during Marvel’s animation panel, they revealed more about Eyes of Wakanda, a spinoff animated series set in the MCU.
Consisting of four episodes, the show will focus on one aspect of the nation of Wakanda: the War Dogs. Like how the Dora Miljae are tasked with protecting the king, the War Dogs are tasked with protecting Wakanda, teased EP Ryan Coogler.
In the show, we’ll also meet a character named Noni who is described as a “disruptor.” It will also delve into Wakandan history. And probably most exciting for Marvel fans, the show will also introduce an Iron Fist. To be clear, this is not necessarily Finn Jones’s Danny Rand from the Netflix series. It is an Iron Fist TBD. Perhaps Danny Rand died on the way back to his home planet?
The series is created by Todd Harris. Though not much else is known about it, it will most likely bring back Danai Gurira as Okoye from the live-action Black Panther movies.
No premiere date for Eyes of Wakanda has been announced yet, but it was previously teased for 2024.
It is definitely not Finn.
