‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Heads Back To Hell’s Kitchen In March, Season 2 In The Works

Daredevil Born Again

While the first trailer for Marvel‘s Daredevil: Born Again has yet to drop online, even though it played at D23, those of us not in Anaheim have two bits about ol’ hornhead to tide us over: the show premieres in March on Disney+; and Season 2 is in the works.

On the latter, we previously reported that Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 would begin filming soon. As for the former: cool! There’s no exact date yet, or episode count. That said, it’s a fair guess that as the series originally had an 18-episode order, we may get nine episodes in Season 1, and nine in Season 2. But that’s just speculation.

Originally airing on Netflix for three seasons, the new series brings back Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, the Man Without Fear. It also brings him face-to-face with his greatest enemy: Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), the Kingpin of Crime. Cox has already appeared twice in the MCU: in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Meanwhile, D’Onofrio has also appeared twice: in Hawkeye, and then in Echo. Born Again is the first time the two will come to blows since the Netflix show wrapped up.

They won’t be alone, though. Jon Bernthal is also back as Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, as well as Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Wilson Bethel as Dex Poindexter (really Bullseye, but the Netflix series never got that far), and other supporting characters — including the hero known as White Tiger.

Dario Scardapane serves as showrunner for the series, and Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are lead directors. The trio came on the series during the SAG-AFTRA/WGA strikes, once Marvel took a look at the footage for the series and decided to scrap a large portion of what’s been shot.

Will the final product be everything fans have been dreaming of? We’ll know more once we don’t have to watch shaky cameras from the arena at D23. I mean, when it’s officially released online.
