The “Star Wars: Stories from a Galaxy Far, Far Away” panel just concluded at San Diego Comic-Con, with looks inside a slew of upcoming Star Wars books — comics or otherwise. And with the conclusion of the panel, we’ve got a look inside some of those upcoming tomes, including Marvel’s new Fear the Jedi series, a Kelnacca comic, and more.
Let’s go in chronological order here, starting with the previously announced Star Wars: The Acolyte – Kelnacca #1. Written by Cavan Scott with art by Marika Cresta, the one-shot will be published on September 4, and shows the history of Kelnacca, presumably before he got sliced in twain in The Acolyte. It also includes an interview with actor Joonas Suotamo. While the cover was previously released for the book, we’ve got four unlettered pages for you to check out, right here.
Next up is a non-comic, often called a “book,” titled THE ART OF STAR WARS: THE HIGH REPUBLIC (VOLUME II). This is written by Kristin Baver, and will hit stores in February of 2025 from Abrams. The book has a suggested retail price of $50, and is 224 pages long.
Not enough info? Here’s the synopsis for the book, and the cover:

Can’t get enough of The Acolyte? neither can Star Wars, because they’ve got a brand new novel titled STAR WARS: THE ACOLYTE: WAYSEEKER from writer Justina Ireland delving into the shadowy past of the lightsaber whip-wielding Vernestra Rwoh. And not only that, Carrie Anne-Moss’s Indara is in the novel, too. It’ll hit stores on May 6, 2025, missing Star Wars Day by two days, from Random House Worlds. Here’s a look at the cover and synopsis.
Before The Acolyte, Vernestra Rwoh must find her place in the Jedi Order.
Vernestra Rwoh has spent over a decade exploring the Outer Rim as a Wayseeker, answering to no other authority but the Force itself. When a request from the Jedi Council orders her back to Coruscant, Vernestra initially refuses, feeling that her first priority should be to the beings she’s already serving. But after Jedi Master Indara arrives to ask for Vernestra’s aid in person, Vernestra finds herself pulled back into Coruscant’s complicated world of Republic politics and underworld crime. As the two delve further into their investigation, and the lines between Jedi and Republic business blur, and Vernestra must reconsider what it means to serve for Light and Life.
We’re not done yet! THE ART OF STAR WARS OUTLAWS hits from Dark Horse on June 3, 2025.

There are two more projects focused on The Acolyte that were announced, as well: Star Wars: The Acolyte Untitled YA Novel, and The Art of Star Wars: The Acolyte (Season One). The YA novel is by Tessa Gratton, and will hit stores on July 29, 2025, from Disney Lucasfilm Press. The great news from the blurb is the book will focus on fan-favorites Jecki and Yord, before their untimely demise in the series. Here’s the synopses:
While their Jedi Masters clean up a political mess left behind by one of their own, Jedi Padawan Jecki and her least favorite fellow Padawan Yord are drawn into a planet-wide coming-of-age ritual as featured guests. The first ritual goes well, but when the final event is interrupted, Jecki and Yord will have to use all of their abilities and work together to keep each other–and their new friends–safe from danger.
As for the art book, that’ll hit in Summer of 2025 from Abrams, is once again written by Kristin Baver, is 224 pages long, and costs $50. Here’s the synopsis for that, and that’s the last thing we’re gonna plug. May the Force be with you!
