Back in 2022, Dynamite Entertainment and writer Dan Wickline launched Karma, an erotic graphic novel that focused on the relationship between a photographer named Alex (no relation), and Karma, a supermodel. And now, the publisher and creator are launching Karma Volume 2 on BackerKit… And it’s at least in part inspired by the real-life relationship between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
“While I wrote this second volume months ago, seeing the growing relationship between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce has a lot of parallels here with Karma and Alex,” said Wickline via a press release provided to Comic Book Club. “Two people coming together is a very intimate and personal thing, but once the rest of the world finds out, a whole new kind of pressure gets added and we get to see how the new couple will handle it. Hopefully as well as Tayor and Travis seem to be.”
Featuring art by Carlos Reno, who drew the first volume as well, the next chapter in one woman’s erotic journey from Milan to Minsk* will also feature covers by Stjepan Šejić and Mirka Andolfo.
(*If you get this reference: congratulations, you are very old.)
Here’s the synopsis for Volume 2, via Dynamite: “This new volume deals with the real pressures dealt with in a relationship, and the will to endure while growing together. It also includes the wild, erotic adventures that Karma finds herself in, from a BDSM shoot, to a wild industry party, to an intimate and sexy trip to get ice cream. The passion and adventure that drew these to together gets ramped up even higher in this new story.”
Beyond the 120-page graphic novel, and three covers (the third is by Michael DiPascale), there’s also a “limited mature nude version,” which I’m going to assume means you can read it in the nude in the privacy of your own home? Could be wrong about that.
Check out BackerKit now to pledge, and take a look at several covers and interior pages, below.
