‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Soundtrack Includes ‘The Greatest Showman,’ Because Of Course It Does

The Greatest Showman

The full tracklist for the Deadpool & Wolverine soundtrack is here. And not only does it include plenty of classics, and a new song from the movie… But it also includes a song from The Greatest Showman, aka Hugh Jackman’s hit movie musical. Because of course it does.

If you care about these sorts of things, the tracklist is somewhat spoilery — particularly for what are most likely punchlines in the movie, as an incongruous (or congruous) song plays. “The Lady in Red” by Chris de Burgh, for example, almost definitely plays when the movie introduces Lady Deadpool (whoever is playing her). And “Slash” by Stray Kids feels like the perfect anthem for Wolverine’s (Jackman) introduction in the movie.

As for the Greatest Showman song, that has to either be an explicit meta-reference from Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds), or something that plays on the soundtrack during an action sequence. The specific song is indeed from the actual soundtrack for The Greatest Showman: “The Greatest Show,” performed by Zac Efron, Zendaya, Hugh Jackman, and Keala Settle, as well as the ensemble. Will Deadpool drop a “that was Zendaya, right? I hope she’s back for Spider-Man 4,” joke? Probably.

You can check out the full tracklist below. The soundtrack is available for pre-order now as a 2 LP vinyl, and will hit stores and streaming services on July 24. Deadpool & Wolverine premieres in theaters on July 26, 2024.
