Chris Mooneyham is saying, “Yo Joe!” again, as the artist is heading back to G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero for Skybound and Image Comics. He’ll take over from Paul Pelletier and Tony Kordos starting with issue #311.

“We’re thrilled to welcome back the indomitable Chris Mooneyham, and just in time, as the epic mutant battle in Springfield reaches its shocking conclusion,” said Alex Antone, Editorial Director at Skybound via a press release provided to Comic Book Club. “When Larry Hama sent me the script, he had just one thing to say: ‘This story is going to slay.’”

Mooneyham will work with the iconic Larry Hama, as well as colorist Francesco Segala on the issue. The issue will also have a main cover by Andy Kubert and Tamra Bonvillain, as well as a “Camouflage Variant” by Francis Portela, which will be hard to find. Not because it’s camouflaged, but because it’s a 1:10 incentive cover. A comic book that’s hard to find. Could you imagine?

G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero #311 will hit comic book stores on November 20, 2024, but you can check out the covers to the issue below:
