Marvel Bringing Not One, But Two Hall H Panels To SDCC 2024

Deadpool and Wolverine

After skipping San Diego Comic-Con in 2023, in a surprise move Marvel Studios is bringing not one, but two panels to this year’s SDCC 2024: one for their usual news-heavy panel on Saturday; the second, a dedicated panel on Thursday for Deadpool & Wolverine, which premieres the same day.

Marvel chief Kevin Feige revealed the news in an interview with Deadline previewing this year’s con. In it, he also revealed that the “fun” panel on July 25 will include himself, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and director Shawn Levy.

“I think people know we’re going to be there on Saturday for our traditional Hall H panel with a lot of fun stuff to look at about our upcoming movies,” Feige said. “But what I don’t think people know is that we’re also going to be in Hall H on Thursday for the first time ever. Marvel Studios is going to be in Hall H twice during Comic-Con. Thursday, of course, is the opening of Deadpool & Wolverine, so we’re going to be doing a fun Deadpool panel in Hall H to commemorate the opening and Shawn, Hugh, Ryan and I will be there.”

With the panel being held at 6:30 pm on Thursday, July 25, it’ll be interesting to see how spoiler-filled the discussion will get, as the movie will be only starting to “preview” that afternoon before officially opening on Friday, July 26. Chances are they’ll bring some spoilers and teases, but with the large majority of attendees being unable to see the flick, it would make sense why Feige describes this as “fun” rather than “spoilery.” I don’t know if he uses that word in general, to be honest.

If you are at San Diego for the con, with a badge, and do want to attend, the SDCC Unofficial Blog notes you’ll have to sign up in advance – so get on that.

The main Marvel Studios panel will be held on Saturday, as usual, in Hall H, from 6-7pm. There, they’ll, I don’t know, announce Blade again or something.
