‘Riverdale’: The Lodges Go To War In New Photos From “Chapter Thirty-Two: Prisoners”

No, you haven’t fallen into Sweetwater River, dreaming you missed an episode of Riverdale moments before your impending death. The show’s upcoming musical episode is still weeks away — but that doesn’t mean we can’t sneak a peek at what’s happening after that episode.

The CW just dropped four stills from “Chapter Thirty-Two: Prisoners,” which deals with the aftermath of Kevin Keller’s (Casey Cott) production of “Carrie: The Musical.” You might assume it’s a lot of sweeping up the set and heading to Pop’s for a celebratory milkshake. But that would prove you’ve never watched Riverdale, because what actually follows is death, doom, and destruction.

You know, the usual.

The photos aren’t jaw-dropping, though you can assume the Lodge family survives whatever happens on “A Night To Remember.” But the episode description (below, following the pics) does give us a few surprising clues:

1) Archie is going all vigilante again, hopefully with a new color after the Red Circle and the Dark Circle (Green Circle? Just spitballing), and potentially with or without a shirt.

2) Chic is back! Is the secret his Dad’s (clearly Dilton Doiley) secret identity?

3) I’m going to take a stab wilder than one from the Black Hood that the person from Veronica’s past is Nick St. Clair.

4) A Hermione/Cheryl team-up? There for it.

Check out the pics, and more, below:

THE BEGINNING OF THE END — After an incident at Riverdale High leaves the town on edge, Archie (KJ Apa) leads the charge to uncover the culprit. Meanwhile, the reveal of a devastating secret leads to a violent showdown between Chic (guest star Hart Denton), Jughead (Cole Sprouse), Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Alice (Madchen Amick). Elsewhere, Veronica (Camila Mendes) takes matters into her own hands when someone from her past comes to town seeking revenge. Finally, Hermione (Marisol Nichols) and Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) conspire to take down Sheriff Keller (guest star Martin Cummins). Luke Perry, Ashleigh Murray, Mark Consuelos, Skeet Ulrich and Casey Cott also star. Jennifer Phang directed the episode written by Cristine Chambers
