The Face Of Rao Is Revealed In This ‘Krypton’ Sneak Peek

Nobody cared who he was until he put on the mask. Or at least, fans of SyFy’s Krypton will care a lot when The Many Faces Of Rao, the voice of Kandor’s god(s?) is revealed in this new clip from this week’s episode, “The Word of Rao”.

Well, not totally revealed, though we do get a glimpse of his back, his nicely trimmed hair, and his toned abdominal muscles. Face of Rao? More like Bod of Rao, am I right?

At the very least, this teases that not only is the extremely loose mask wearing Face of Rao a Kryptonian, it may be someone we already met — otherwise, what’s with all the face hiding and stuff? I’m guessing it’s Seg (Cameron Cuffe), which makes no sense, but whatever, go big or go home.

Oh, also? He can totally make the frickin’ sun appear, so that’s pretty cool.

Here’s the official description from SyFy:

Set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet, Krypton follows Superman’s grandfather (Cameron Cuffe, The Halcyon) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. Based on DC characters, Krypton is executive produced by David S. Goyer (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Dark Knight trilogy). Cameron Welsh (Ash vs Evil Dead) will serve as executive producer and showrunner.
