See ‘Krypton’s Terrifying Brainiac Infection In Action

In the comics, Brainiac is pretty scary. The Collector of Worlds has gone toe to toe with Superman multiple times, sometimes even taking on the whole Justice League all by himself.

So when Superman’s powerless grandpa Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe) can’t even defeat an infection from one of Braniac’s probes on SyFy’s Krypton, how will he possibly stop Kandor and the rest of his world from being consumed*?

(*Possible spoiler, but if you look at the comics you know that Kandor doesn’t get saved — it gets bottled up by Brainiac for centuries. Sorry, Seg.)

There is a catch, though, as Seg finds out when he tries to stop Brainiac’s puppet Rhom (Alexis Raben) from uploading info on Krypton to the alien mastermind. Watch the clip from last week’s episode “The Rankless Initiative” to find out just how he (sort of) wins the day:

Here’s the official description from SyFy:

Set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet, Krypton follows Superman’s grandfather (Cameron Cuffe, The Halcyon) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. Based on DC characters, Krypton is executive produced by David S. Goyer (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Dark Knight trilogy). Cameron Welsh (Ash vs Evil Dead) will serve as executive producer and showrunner.
