‘Krypton’: Seg Learns To Lie In This New Scene

In the game of Krypton, you learn to lie, or you die. At least, that’s what Seg (Cameron Cuffe) needs to get up to speed on in this scene from last night’s (April 4) episode of SyFy’s Superman prequel, titled “The Rankless Initiative.”

In the episode, Seg’s desperately trying to find out more about Braniac’s encroaching attack while slowly moving his way up the ranks in the morally challenged House of Vex, which is not actually a fashion line (sorry). Complicating matters is his betrothed, Nyssa (Wallis Day), who seems willing and interested in helping Seg navigate the intricacies of Krypton’s upper-crust society.

But perhaps it’s self-interest. As she says, Nyssa has “secrets of my own.”

Hmmm… As big a secret as sleeping with Lyta-Zod (Georgina Campbell), a general in the Kandor Military Guild? Watch the scene yourself, and see what clues you can suss out:

Here’s the official description from SyFy:

Set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet, Krypton follows Superman’s grandfather (Cameron Cuffe, The Halcyon) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. Based on DC characters, Krypton is executive produced by David S. Goyer (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Dark Knight trilogy). Cameron Welsh (Ash vs Evil Dead) will serve as executive producer and showrunner.
