Krypton: Is Cutting Your Palm Really The Best Idea?

Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El, Ian McElhinney as Val-El

On the second episode of SyFy’s Krypton, “The House of El,” Superman’s grandpa figures out how to activate a computer in his grandpa’s (SO MANY GRANDPAS!!!) Fortress of Solitude. The special ingredient? Blood, baby!

As we discussed on our after-show podcast, though, is cutting your palm really the most efficient way of getting blood out? That means you have a big cut, right on your palm for days — if not weeks — afterwards. And picking things up? DON’T EVEN GET US STARTED.

Yes, it’s nice to be able to see your grandpa again, I GUESS, but at what cost? Seg isn’t going to play basketball or comfortably pick up a glass of water for a very, very long time. Even trade? I think not.

Anyway, watch the scene for yourself, and be sure to subscribe to our Krypton podcast for more scintillating conversations like this one. New podcast episodes post every week, right after new episodes of Krypton air on SyFy!
